Be a bridge between their art and tech teams, empowered to explore new technologies and define efficient and effective pipelines to support amazing art in engine
Be a stakeholder in all stages of the tech art pipeline including planning complex rigs that support customization and shared animation
MAKE AN IMPACT:
Create and maintain character rigs that will be used by the animation team
Research and test new technologies with a goal of integration with our workflows when required
Develop and maintain resources and pipelines along with engineers and artists
Implement finished art into the game engine
Communicate tech needs between art, tech and design teams
Research and develop technical tools in engine and in source art software
Help set up workflows of art production
Ensure in engine assets hit quality and performance targets
Assist in developing, debugging and optimizing artist pipeline tools
Share knowledge and champion best practices for all art assets that end up in engine
Write and maintain technical documentation
SHOW US YOUR SKILLS
3+ years experience in a technical art or rigging related role
Knowledgeable in:
Animation & Rigging
Modeling & Texturing
Scripting/Tools Development
Shaders
VFX
Source Control Software
Experience and in depth understanding of Unity, modern 3d production tools, and Maya
Ability to work well in a fluid environment as creative challenges evolve
Excellent partnership and communication skills
Self-motivated, passionate and opinionated about video games and video game dev
