Lead Combat Designer
Location – Remote ($100,000-$135,000)

• Work with a world class team that is committed to changing the face of the entertainment industry
• Work on a new and exciting, unannounced Action-RPG title
• Work closely with the designers to develop our vision for melee combat, either on the enemy AI or on the player character core mechanics

MAKE AN IMPACT

• Develop the combat vision of the game, including a focus on player's movement, combat, controls and camera
• Demonstrate ability to create fantastic feeling combat actions through hands-on work in Unreal Engine
• Manage and oversee the team developing the games enemy AI to ensure smooth interplay between the players abilities and AI behavior
• Work with project leadership to hire, manage and grow the combat design team for the future
• Collaborate with senior designers, animators, programmers, sound designers and vfx artists to develop a deep and accessible combat system

SHOW US YOUR SKILLS

• Significant professional experience as a Lead Combat and/or Lead Gameplay Designer with multiple shipped titles
• Experience as a lead, both in managing a team and setting the creative vision for a department
• Experience implementing and tuning animations, timing windows for attacks, blocks, hit reactions and other detailed elements of combat
• Located and authorized to work in either the US or Canada
